Is speed density worth it?

I have it on my camaro.. but on my truck I am researching a TPI swap. But, almost everything I find out there is like 87 and older.

I personaly would say it is worth it! No mass air flow sensor problems and they are pretty expensive little devices. Easier to tune the car, but the only problem is you do have to tune the chip once you start modifying it.

Other then that I do not see any downside in going to MAP. It works out the same when your MAF blows to convert to MAP then to buy a new MAF sensor.

I am glad I have MAP on my 86 camaro

Speed density is easier to physically set up, meaning you don't have to figure out how to include the MAF into your intake track. It is more sensitive to change than a MAF setup which means you will have to tune for alot more changes.

The MAF setup is a little harder to initially setup, but it does take to modifications a little better.

Personally, I've never had a MAF go bad. Maybe I'm just lucky. But my TPI is going away in favor of a single plane EFI set atop a 383 with twin turbos. I'd make you a good deal on it, but dad wants it for his truck. Trucks are what they should have put the TPI on in the first place, they make such good low end torque.
