today i went to start the car and it took a long time, then when i finally got it going it was idling under 500 rpms and the choke light kept buzzing...plus, when i gradually layed on the gas it sounded like whistling...what's up?

 

Did you look to see if your choke is sticking/stuck???

 

Can anyone run me through how to check if the choke is sticking/stuck? I'm learning...

 

It could be a vacuum leak. To check the choke, take the air cleaner assembly off the carb. If the butterfly at the top is closed, the choke is on. If it is open, it is off.
