Post Ford GT on the street for testing...

I came across these pics of the GT getting road tests in LA this morning...
Thought they might be interesting if not though provoking.
At a light in LA...
Gassing-up at a common pump... (OMG what an attention magnet.)
Virtual Reality development on the car...

Guess they didn't want to take any chances w/ the car... did ya see that rear bumper!?!?

Cali boys, keep your eyes open.
(D@mn, why does Cali get ALL the cool stuff?)

This Ford GT mule looks alot better than the concept did. It's way more distinctive and aggressive looking than the last Ferrari 360 I saw. On the other hand, there's still something way cooler about saying "my Ferrari" rather than "my Ford."

I just realized how low 43" is. The GT's roofline is a little taller then the guy's beltline or midsection. It's about 3.6 feet tall. Damn, that's low.

Yesterday must have been some type of special car day out here. I saw my first new Rolls Royce on the street. I was going down the 405 near Irvine (otherwise know as spy photographer's highway), and I saw one going up an off ramp on the other side. You simply can't help but notice them, and those things are huge!

About 10 minutes earlier, going the opposite direction was some car with it's front & rear covered. I didn't get a good look at it, so I have no clue as to what it was or what it resembled. I remember thinking "that is a ugly front cover". When it passed and I goy a glimpse that it's rear was also covered, that's when it registered. Traffic was moving about 75 (normal for moderate traffic in LA) so I didn't get a clear look, and no way to get a picture if I had.
