sounds like a misfire

change the plugs, just because they are cheap, sand the corrosion if theres any off the rotor cap and the rotor button itll be fine. use a multimeter to check the wires and keep them away from the exhaust with black zip ties. see if that fixes the problem. if it doesnt id check the fuel pressure if thats ok, then i would take the thing apart to clean everything and replace gaskets. thats also cheap.

if you cant tell i like being cheap

spray some carb cleaner around your intake to find a vaccum leak... your rpms will jump the moment you find it. it's either from a gasket that isnt on tight enough, worn off, or one of your vaccum hoses has a crack or isnt on right. does your car whine when you rev it ? i noticed that when i first got my car it did that... someone thought i was hiding a supercharger in my engine bay because it sounded like i had one... but i'd have to assume it was a vaccum leak because once i took off the intake, and put new gaskets on the runners, intake, and tb, it all went away

we had some time today to check the tbi unit and that looks to be alright with no serious issue, secondly with the air box off we checked the throttle cable and how the injectors were spraying and just a general look over to see how things were doin. well get to some more indepth evaluation when the next batch of time allows.
thanks for the advice

My motor has about 240K Miles on it and it's starting to do some of the things yours is. This post gave me an idea on somethings to look at but if it's the block to hell with it i'll just rip it out and put an L98 in. I don't have to much love for the 305 anymore lol.
