it usually does it a little more after it warms up...

$10 from walmart, should take less than an hour, take a towel to catch the gas in the line, and prepare to breath gas fumes
its located on the drivers side undercarriage in front of the back wheels

Yeah I 2nd to that. It takes that long the first time. I changed mine 2 days ago. Jack the car all the way up.. pop the tire out if you dont have enough room.... not really necesary if you can lay perpenticular to the car... the first thing you wanna do is push the Holding bracket lip with a flat screwdriver.. push up hard and pull out at the same time... the bracket pops out easily. remove the bracket out of the way and get ready to choke on 91 octane... first I do is remove the part that has a nut there.. once that pops I just dump the gas on a small container..

I forgot to tell you about the container didnt I?? sorry... anyway once you collect the gas.... errr Put that Cigarret Away unless you wanna barbecue yourself along with your car.. ok back to busines...use the screw driver to carefully push the plastic lip on the filters other end... that plastic lip that holds the filter and hose together comes out easily if you push it in... if its hard to come out you doing it wrong...

Make sure to put the new plastic lock the same way on the new filter... you can trow away the old one... push the hose back in till it pops... screw the other end with a wrench... slide the bracket oh the filter and position the bracket back on the car and push the lip with the screw driver till it lacks up in position...

Now put that gas back in your car... dont leave it where the kids may find it..(just in case). Crank her up till she starts and go drive it like you stole it...

Post back your results..

no need to let her cool off.. the filter is located by the Rear tire, infront of it . away from the heat, about 6 inches from the door and 10 inches from the tire. Underneat.. just follow the gas tank hoses... cant miss it. Driver side.

My tank was full when I did it two days ago. It only spills about 5 ounces of gas... get a container that holds 12 onces just in case. It wont spill that much. Maybe only 3 ounces but you can never be to safe when it comes to gasoline.

Now go do it.... Remember the saying "Just do it"

Man why didnt you tell us this before??

When did you last checked your air filter?? cleaned the MAF? and about your tranny.. did you checked with the engine at idle to see if they put too much/too little tranny fluid at Jiffys??

Man you outa tells us all the info upfront... I really hate to make you spend your money and time dude... The fuel filter needed a change anyways so you are fine there. Sorry if I got on you case is just that you problem sounded so much like fuel filter...
