SES Code HELP!!

My manuals are still packed up and I got the SES light today.....can someone refresh my memory on the wire test using the ALDL connection so I can see what the problem is.

Thanks 350Z

Re: SES Code HELP!!

It's code 36, which is MAF burn off. Replace the relay first, then consider the MAF....

Re: SES Code HELP!!

Hey Trevor...

I would replace the relay, but dont go any further than that as a new sensor from Bosch is like 400.00 and even a reman is like 200.00 something. Just dont fire the ole parts shotgun at the IROC. I have some Non scan diagnostic tree's i can fax you if you would like. I have the same problem in the Z but it is the ECM.

You just dont want to make a 4 hundo dollar mistake in your diagnosis...

Later bro,

Erik

Re: SES Code HELP!!

$163 from Autozone. I agree. Swap the relay and then clear the codes. If it pops up again, try to find another sensor to try....like borrow from a friend or something....

Re: SES Code HELP!!

I called you back an hour after you called me and I left a message. So...check your voicemail, if you haven't already, and give me a call back. I'll be available tonight after work.

Glad to see you post.

Eric
