rpo codes

I looked up the RPO codes on my z and I had a few questions about what came. Does anyone know what the following codes mean, or consist of?

E5Z SPEEDOMETER ADAPT (DELETE)
E9Z SPEEDOMETER KEY (DELETE)
MM5 MERCHANDISED TRANS, MAN 5 SPD PROVISIONS
YT9 MERCHANDISED PKG, FISHER FURNISHED PARTS

Also, does anyone know how rare a Z28 with no AC is? How many were made like that ? A lot of people have told me it is pretty rare.

thank you

Go to thirdgen.org and look around, I think they have some sort of RPO decoder.

Anyways as far as AC goes, its not all that uncommon. Of course most people would opt to have it, but in the northern states, alot were ordered without just because it wasn't needed. thats why 1LE cars were really never "discovered." No one wanted a car with no AC. Some sat on dealer lots for like a year before being bought. From what I have read anyway. Check thirdgen.org too for that. Sorry I couldn't be of more help

That is where I got the codes from. that is all it tells me. I want to know what they consist of. Why have a code for a "merchandised trans", and "merchandised body"? Are those a dealer installed aftermarket goody or something? I have RPO codes that the service manual for my car doesnt even list. I hope someone can help shed some light on the subject.

that makes sense why I have no AC. I bought the car in Washington state. but, down here in california its a not good thing.

What does the two speedometer delete options mean?

just out of curiosity do you have an code for an a/c delete? It's not too uncommon for people to tear the a/c out of the car for horsepower gains
