Queations, questions, questions...

So now I have a completely dismantled engine and alot of time (forced time) to complete my engine. I have some questions.

How much will it cost for the following machine services:

1. Hot tank
2. Magna flux
3. Honing
4. Boring
5. port matching (intake heads)
6. Valve job (three angle?)
7. deck shaving
8. Anything else you would recommend while I'm at it.
9. turning crank

Also can you stroke a 305 safely? What would the CID be and still be strong.

I will be changing the intake, cam, and adding headers. I'm thinking about changing the heads but they are expensive and I am limited on what I can do (california).

1.....25.00
2.....20.00
3&4..200.00
5.....your time and a grinder
6.....150.00
7......125.00
8......Resize your rods
9......75.00

These are prices that I`ve paid in the past......Funny you mentioned "stroked 305" as we are just finishing one up! we took a 2 piece 305....bored it 60 over...put in a 383 crank with 400 rods and stock .060 over 305 flat tops and waala!! 340 cube small bore, long stroke small block...It`s going in a 75 elky with a tpi set-up....we`re not looking for speed, just good mileage with some torque! Powerhouse products sells a 305 stroke kit ready to go...do a search or look in any chevy high performance mag.
