Question posi

Can you weld a limited slip rearend if so how hard would it be.

You can always weld the spider gears but if it's posi why?

If you do you'll break it soon after if you use it for a daily driver and make turns.

If you are going that route, why not just get a spool? You couldn't turn corners well but if that is what you want, go for it.

i would do a mini spool then. you will still be able to turn with it though.

i have a buddy who had a jeep cj7 with the spiders welded he drove it for three years then sold it and as far as i know they have not broke yet.by the way he was running 44 inch boggers and it was a daily driver.

Tires that big have a very tall sidewall which will deflect a lot and take up the stress of the welded spider gears. Unless you're putting 44's on your Camaro, it won't hold up nearly as long. I've seen them last a month or 2, but no more.

if its donr right it will hold
yhe 44 inch boggers were 16 inches wide
oh and he mud raced it all the time
but if can afford a posi or spool get that instead
