Hi..its me again. im here with another question. im sorry for my ignorance however being to afraid of what might happen to my 350 tpi baby i have not revved it passed 4500 rpms. that was only while doing a burnout. any ways i guess the description of this thread is the question i want to ask. oh and also with a stronger valve train how much higher will the engine be able to rev with out like blowing up or floating the valves or something?thanx and please forgive me for my ignorance.

TPI's are designed for low rpm operation. The power band starts to drop off after 5000 rpm. 5500 is about the max of a stock TPI.

You could change the cam and valvetrain so that the engine could easily go to 6500 rpm but if you can't get the air into the engine, then you're not going to be making any more power that high up.
