December 7th through 12-13 I'm driving from Texas through Vriginia to Maine in the 85' Iroc Z. As long as my orders come in I have untill Dec 6 to get them and I can go home. They just changed my assignment from Germany to Japan last week, grrrrrrr! ( want to know what branch and job?, check my info.)
Why I bothered to post this, I will have my lap top and sprint wire less 56Kb inter net modem 3 hours of battery life per charge (unless I pickup a power inverter) and a 90 some peace craft man tool set. And a strong hold in Roanoke VA, if I had to I could leave the Z in Roanoke and barrow a car from a great friend(better than famly kind of friends).
It looks like I will be on Inter state 30 from Wichita Falls TX to Little rock AR then I get on I 30 through Menphis, Nashville, Knoxville then out side Knoxvill I hit I 81. I ride that through VA Pulaski through Roanoke is my 2nd home and my 2 or 3 day rest stop.
Then it gets tricky going from Roanoke to New port ME, My mom knows the best way she drove it 2 dozen times + for 12 years, I think I keep riding 81 to to Scranton PA get on I84 and rid it till it runs out (in mass) and take a right (I90 east) and get on good ol' I95 all the way back to new port ME.
So if you see a post that looks like " I'm in any county usa beside the road with my 85' Iroc Z, computer and tools"
Please for the love of god read it.
On along road trip with access to the best camaro tool ever created makes me feel a little more cofident.
You can tell that the engine and trans hasn't been in tool long if you wipe off a little oil off the side you can see fresh paint on the engine, ther a little over a year old. And a brand new super high out put alt for a stero system the guy used to pop the back window (he took out the amp and speekers).
I will post in this thred if ther is (or is looking like there will be) a hold up or date change, when I leave for sure or if any route changes hapen.
If you live near the route and want to cruse with me for a few miles that would be cool with me post or send me an e mail.
If I have any problems with the car it will be here posted on 3rd gen tech minutes after the fact.
Please don't move this, I want all the third geners to see this incase I have a problem on the way home and know check the bord an extra time or 2 during my trip.
