Oil Gage

I just bought a '91 Pontiac Trans Am GTA, and I am not sure if the Oil gage indicator is suppose to be always on 420 Kpa, and if not what could be the problem?

You sure about that? My gauge is in psi where 60 is the max psi. It hovers around 30 psi on a hot day with a hot engine in idle.
