Need some quick advice on an IROC-Z

Found this car for sale for $500.00. Its a 5-speed, T-top car. With a 5.0 TBI.
New trans, and rear. The guy says hes got $3000 in receipts. But as you can see in pics, its been in an accident and needs work. Should I buy?

I had an 88 IROC with the 305 TBI once, so they did make them.

after they stopped offering the carb(87?) the 305 TBI was the base motor through 89/90, after that it was the 305 TPI

If you feel you are up to the task...It'll basically need an entire front end and probably a good paint job after that, and then you are probably going to want to modify it... Everything will add up quick, but if you got the funds and the time, then I say go for it. Nonetheless, once you get that car fixed up, it will be one awesome looking Iroc.

race screw it,your better off not buying that car, that thing was alemon..look at it this way..rocs go from 1000-4000 in average condition.that car was a a junk tbi,not the tpi,and need a lot in parts and body work, why bother when there are tons of better whole cleaner rocs out there for 1000-1500 mre with a tpi.and being in fla im sure theres tons w/o rust or body work..it may seem like a deal,500,but when your all done just getting it whole youll be like, why did i bother
