First time on this forum all the way from Australia.
Got a 1986 TransAm 5.7L. Just got it and trying to find the location of the engine number. Does anyone know where abouts it is located??

What engine # are you referring to? The RPO stickers should be on the door jam,console door top, and somewhere else I cant remember right now.

If your talking about engine serial #,thats on the block right behind the driver side head...damn near impossible to see when the motor's in the car.

actually, that is the engine casting #, the serial # stamp is on the pass side, at the front, between the head and the water pump, there is a flat pad there that they use
then there is also the 8th digit of the VIN

Tried finding it again but no luck. Need a pic of the whole engine bay with the location of the engine number circled hehe. The only way to find it...
