Which Knock Sensor to Use

My car was originally a 1987 IROC-Z with a 305 T.P.I. I have since converted in more than 1 way. I have changed the engine to a 355cid with Miniram and changed the ECM from a 165 to a 730 and soon will be switching to a 749 ecm. I removed the MAF and installed MAP. Changed to a 350 knock sensor. I am getting about 6 knock counts on startup and knock is cycling excessive 250 and starting over again once I get over 1500 rpm using datamaster and my Snap-on MT2500. I have bypassed the ESC because the 730 controls timing in the ECM.

I have heard that there a differences in the knock sensors.

305 ~vs~ 350
MAF ~vs~ S/D
AND TPI ~vs~ TBI

I am almost 100% posivitve that the knock sensor is bad that I have now. Does anyone have a good number of one to buy.

Re: Which Knock Sensor to Use

you need a 350 knock sensor from an SD car,
also use a brass NPT elbow to space the sensor off the block if you find its alittle on the sensative side,

I disable the knock sensor in my car and I've done it for others
