If you remove all the emissions crap you should be able to get them all from the top. I could on my 350.

I ran autloites for years, and have since switched because they are crap. I've had them literally come apart to where they would tick tick tick from the compression. Less than 10K miles, that's not what I call quality. It's up to you, if you don't mind doing it again in a couple of years, sure. But you might as well get some decent plugs and do it right the first time. I won't use autolites anymore.
