you can actually do all of the plugs from the top just requires some wrangling and a flex-spark plug socket.

Yep, all can be reached from the top. Just make sure you've got an assortment of tools at your disposal.

Good plugs tend to cost a little bit more. Are you changing the plug wires as well? I would, save yourself some time and do it all at once. I would just put some bosch platinum plugs. They tend to be alright and should be fairly inexpensive. Get some good 8mm plug wires and you'll be set.

Sounds like the trans is slipping. It is an auto I assume. You should post some detailed information about your car man, it'll help us help you.

Don't spend too much money on fancy plugs since it isn't really worth it.
just get a set of Autolites or NGK's, they are about $1.50 each at most parts stores.

I agree. I usually run Delco plugs in my cars, just because I'm a Delco fan. Fancy spark plugs aren't going to make the car more powerful, and even cheap plugs will last for 50k miles on a good running car. On a poor running car, you'll foul plugs no matter what you're using, so again, it's a waste of money to run an expensive plug.

Even on my 2 stroke snowmobiles I run inexpensive NKG plugs, and a 2 stroke combustion chamber is a MUCH more harsh environment than anything a car plug will see. I have yet to wear one out.
