Horn Button Problem

While driving down the road, after hitting a bump, my horn started beeping. I hit the horn button to shut it off but this time that did not work. In a panic, I pulled the button towards me and disconnected the button from the steering column. How do I put this back? There are 3 posts that look like I can dab some silicon to hold the button onto the metal disk. Does this sound feasible? Any help would be appreciated.

I dont think youd want to glue it...then if you needed to get it back off, you wouldnt be able to...unless you used a weak type of glue.

BAHAHAHA I did the exact same thing to my 89 IROC!! Everytime I turned a corner or went over a bump, the horn would honk. It got worse and worse until one night I turned a corner and the horn stayed on so I yanked it off.

And yeah you will have to glue it back on. It doesn't just "stick back on". It requires glue.

Re: Horn Button Problem

I am only talking about silicon on the 3 posts on the backside of the horn button where it must have been connected from the factory. Yours probably does not come apart, but I ripped my off by hand to stop the horn from beeping. I am not glueing the button to the steering column. I still can connect the button to the column by the clips.
