This forum is turbo lacking
Check out LS1tech.com's Forced Induction forum for more ideas and pics from installs both with STS and custom made. A turbo with an inlet of 62mm-76mm is common for the LT1-LS1 STS kits so they would also work with a 350cube TPI setup. Turbo side and piping size will depend on expected power output. For a stock TPI 305/350, I'd use a 60-65mm turbo, roughly 8PSI of intercooled boost and call it a day...
I don't like the pan tapping method myself. I'd use the small 1/4" oil plug on the front of the engine or the oil pressure sensor hold near the filter. it'll pump it to the turbo, then run another pump to return the oil. Some guys use a remote mount oiling system as well. It's a small tank/pump in the rear that is for just the turbo itself. I don't have any experience but this is what I'm reading and seeing around the net.

Re: HELP WHIT remote mount turbo system IN MY TIRD GEN
I saw my first STS kit on a Camaro last weekend. It was an '02 SS. I may be showing my ignorance here but I was not impressed. First, the turbo hung so low that any speed bump would take it out. In fact, I saw the car at a muffler shop who's job was to see if the turbo could be raised. After they were done, it had about four inches of clearance. I wonder how much it had with the pre-made STS pipes.....
Also and of particular interest was the fact that this turbo had no oil lines.... Is this weird or am I missing something?
I also noted that the piping at the turbo outlet necked down to less than a two-inch diameter, then expanded to over two-inches (I think).
The turbo itself looked rusted and the exposed conical air filter was filthy, probably because of location.
My overall impression was not good. I walked away thinking this thing is a piece of junk. I'm very glad I went the traditional way and mounted both my turbos in the engine compartment....
