GMMP or Corsa?

I have found a few video's/sound clips that show off GMMP and Corsa exhaust.. they sound MEAN! They were all on LS1's, or at least 4-gen cars. Check them out at LS1sounds.com ... very nice.

But anyways, my question is would any of these Corsa or GMMP exhausts sound this nice on MY car? I want that mean, scary sound that you here in those video's, like those that almost made me load my britches to the brim..

Thanx all,
Matt

You're going to need headers to really make that thing scream, regardless of the muffler setup. A better cam would help too. The GMMG chambered system sounds awesome! But the price is OUTRAGEOUS! You could have a performance exhaust shop build a similar system for about the price of a regular catback. Look up member Willie for ideas.

i have a flowmaster cat back highflo 3" cat and edelbrock headers and y-pipe with a cam and at idle it sounds nice but at 3500 rpm it really starts to scream. the exhaust was about $700 total and about 2 something for the cam

So as long as I have headers it won't be too hard to make it scream?

How much do they go for?

I will look into that, thanx for the name.

but at 3500 rpm it really starts to scream
You are talking about that "whoa, I just shat my pants" type screen, right? What kind of mufflers are on the Edelbrock cat-back? I have heard the 80's from a online video, and they SCREAM at HIGH rpm as well.

Last I checked the GMMG system was around $800+, and that's just the catback!

And yes, headers will really add to the sound.

I've been thinking about doing this for a long time. Take a Mandrel bent, 3" I-pipe, from any company. Install as you would over the axle and weld to the cat. In between the cat and the axle there is alot of room to stick say 2 chambered mufflers side by side. A simple y in front and one in rear would make this work, then single pipe over the axle where it would y one more time to resemble SLP's loudmouth. I may even purchase a used loudmouth to do this. But the chambered mufflers themselves are relatively inexpensive, theres not much to em. Anyway, Im hoping to get started on this as soon as I get my headers and cam/heads going. Should make for a nice sound, I absolutely love the GMMG system, nothing compares IMO

How are the Magnaflows for hi-flow cats? I have heard they are great.

Ah man! This blows! (lol) But do these Corsa's and GMMP's go good w/ third-gen cars?

i have this, check my sig, have pics of everything before the axel was too lazy to get pictures of it dumping out the back, slp shorties, with dual cats and dual chambered mufflers. Sounds like one of the meanest (and loudest) cars ive ever heard

i dont have any sound or video clips but ill get one within the next week promise. All a chambered muffler is well theyre the same as flowmasters basically, all they are is metal baffling (pieces of metal) and all that really does is cancel out the high tones you still hear the backfires at high rpms they dont do much of anything. And i think true duals are just generally a bit louder then a 2-1 pipe.

All i know is my exhaust sounds like the end of the world is coming and last summer (first summer with the car) i actually made 2 different people jump out of their skin i startled them so bad just from throwing out a big rev.
