Fuel pump

Is there anyway a mustang fuelpump could be made to work in a 82 camaro?The car is a track car onnly and found a good deal on a mustang fuelpump and wonderin if it can be made to work.

I put a GM pump in my buddy's Fox T-Bird so I guess you could do it. I had to change the plug over and I modified a Honda fuel sock to work. I'd only do it if it's a new pump.
