Yo guys, some help please. Car is an 88 IROC with the LB9 and T5. Recently, when I'm driving down the freeway at about 60, the engine will momentarily cut out, then come back. It's just for an instant. You can see the tach needle flick down when it happens. It's happening now every couple of minutes. The SES light is not on. Engine starts easily and idles smoothly.

Ideas? Thanks.

 

Hm.. it sounds like some sort of ****ty ground somewhere. It sounds like when you are going so fast, you are rattling a ground and you are loosing engine power. I really dont know though; especially since you have TPI.
I'm sure a more knowledgable member will chime in soon though

 

sounds like a ground. check your battery ground and the ground wire behind the block on the passenger side.

 

yah sounds like it could be the ground.

my car was doing something similar only under hard acceleration and it was the ignition coil...you might wanna look at that too.

 

Ya make sure ALL the battery grounds are so clean and tight you can eat off of them like a tight ***.hole
