Driveshaft Problem

Ok this is whats going on, One day after i was comin out of a parking lot a burned a little rubber to impress some people (you know how it is ) And as i get up to the light to stop i hear a clunking sound coming from the middle of the car.

I first thought it was the tranny but after asking around i'm pretty sure its the driveshaft but i'm not sure. The sound happens when i take off too fast or stop to abruptley.

I'm thinking it might be the UV joint in the driveshaft but what do you guys think it might be ?

Energy Suspension has them too. They are harsh and will increase NHV but if you can put up with that, they are good.

Also the ES polyurethane mount won't break again as easily as a GM rubber mount.

Most likely the tranny mount, but make sure its not that torque arm. I had the braket that it was in break in half once letting the torque arm bang against the top of the car.

When you put it in drive and it clunks, that sounds like your U-joint. As for the rest it sounds like your tranny mount. I had to replace mine a few months ago. You want to replace it soon becausewhat your hearing clunking is a couple possible things.
1. The tail of your tranny hitting the top of the undercarrige.
2. The mid body of the trans hitting the top of the undercarrige.

Either way it's not good for your tranny, driveshaft, diff., etc. Also while your under there check out your torque arm. They are notoriously weak.
