I have a 86' HEI that when the timing connector is disconnected to set base runs fine. When I reconnect connector it backfires and will barely idle. Disconnected PCM hoping it was some sort of glitch. (Wasen't) It will drive fine with connector disconnected but doggy cause no advance. Thanks for any help

 

Could it be the module inside?

 

Tried another module. Still the same.
