Never Had that problem with my 85 camaro or my 88 Firebird.
There is an O-ring on the inside the transmission.
You need to check to see if it's there or if it's good.
You probably need to take the pan off to check.
I'm sure the the O-ring is bad.

Good luck,

Chris.

my car doesnt 'pee' fluid but I have trouble with the dipstick staying down inside the trans. about once a month I'll crawl under the car and shove the damn thing back down, it helps if u have someone under the hood pushing/wiggling on the fill tube as well.

Your dipstick tube should be bolted to your transmission bell housing.

The "o-ring" isn't inside the pan. It's actually a grommet that goes in from the top just to the right side of the bellhousing. You'll have to remove the top right bellhousing bolt and pull dipstick up about 3-4" to get the grommet out and change it. I've seen quite a few of them leaking, but mostly on older trannys.

If you don't bolt the dipstick tube bracket to the bellhousing like you're supposed to, it will work it's way out like JSkeet's.
