I just picked up a full motor for cheap and I dont know what year it is or what CID it is. I was told it was a 350 which im sure it is, but I just want to know the details of it. Anyone break down a GM3956632?

its a 1969 307 w/2 piece rear main seal

A 307 is a boat anchor. It's worse than the 305.

 

Don't go cheating yourself here....307's aren't like 305's....they're getting harder to come by. Someone who's restoring a car that came with a 307 might be VERY interested in that block. Like maybe interested enough for you to make a couple bucks on it. It's a long shot but you never know....

 

I dont have time to try to get rid of it. I need a 350 block like yesterday and I only have a few months left before I go to Iraq. I want to drive the car... not make money. LOL

 

LOL!! Get your money back. Don't bother with it. Get one from a dealer next time. Or you can hold off till your deployment to Iraq is complete and you should have enough money saved up to buy a new 350 engine. Good luck wit that.

 

Why would I wait? I could get killed over there and never have driven the car! I want to do it now. LOL
