Decisions

Ok heres the thing i (obviously) have a 91 305 A4 Z28 and my uncle had found another camaro for himself, but then he decided to call me up and ask if he got the camaro, would i wanna swap.

So i asked him what year what engine etc. And its a 72 SS with a 350 (used to be a 454 ) 350 Turbo Tranmission B&M ratchet shifter dual straight pipes headers. But the body isnt perfect as i'm told one little rust hole over the passenger side rear fender and bondo in some areas.

But it runs strong, so i could either keep my 91 and buy a brand new 383 stroker for $600 (just needs to be put together) or i could straight up swap my 91 for the 72 SS. Now i'm more of a older maro fan so i would def like the SS buuuuuut i also love my Z lol.

And no i cant swap the Z for the SS and still get the stroker lol uncle would put that in the Z. So i'm at a bit of a dilema what do you guys think ?

stick with the 91!!! reasons:
-youd have a bigger motor if you put the 383 in
-IMO the second gens asthetically dont even come close to our cars
-youd have an extra 20 years worth of problems to deal with in the 72

just curious do you know why the 454 got swapped out of the 72 for a 350?

When you look at all the facts the 72 doesnt come close. The 91 will have a bigger engine with the 383 so it will have better straight line speed. It is better designed handling wise so youll have a much better handling car with the 91 which you will want with all that power. And last but not least the third gen camaros look absolutly sick especially compared to the 72. Personally i love the look of the 1st gen camaros but the seconds arent all that perty. Just my opinion though id definitly stick with the 91 plus think how much fun the 383 would be

72 =
Other than not being such a straight body and the little bit of rust, does the car look good? Is it going to be your daily driver? I'll tell ya though if I was in your position I'd keep the '91. My reason being: I'm a kid (and drive to school) so can only afford one car and I wouldn't trust the '72 to start EVERY morning. But if you have a backup ride (aka mom lol) then I'd do anything to get ahold of that 72! Good luck man!

I couldnt have said it better myself. Without a doubt, stick with the 91 for both looks and performance reasons.
