Charcoal Canister hoses...
Charcoal Canister hoses...
I've just finished off the motor install and can't figure out why the canister hoses don't work with the TB.
Its a BBK TB. Theres two ports on the passenger side. The bottom one has constant vacuum so I hooked up the PCV vavle to it. The top port doesn't have vacuum at all... I'm not sure if it applies vacuum at WOT or not but the port size doesn't even match the canister hose.
Anyway... Should the canister hose he hooked up to the top port which might sometimes open or should I t-tap it into the bottom port with the PCV vavle getting constant vacuum?
Thanks!

Ken- you'll be needing the emission hose routing diagram for your car- then you'll know where everything goes. Shoot me an email and I'll plug you into my brother who happens to have an 87 Trans Am (same as your IROC, Z-28). It's not as complicated as an old carbureted emissions motor- they had MILES of hoses- but it's still not something you're likely to figure out just looking at the ports.
He also had a MiniRam on his car.
