nothing. just the eng. everything will swap onto it. what kind of carb. do you have now?
what kind of power will the 350 be making? you can prolly even use the same carb. as the 305 unless the 350 will make alot of power. if its under 300 horse, then you shouldnt have to change anything else.

but, you will proly break the bolts off the exh. mannifolds so Id get some headers and an aftermarket exh. system to go w/the swap. while you have the eng. out, nows the time to make sure your eng. mounts are good (they typically sag and have some play in them when they are old/wornout) and the harness is good. plus make sure that when you get the new eng. in, that the starter wires are out of the way and protected from the exh. system's heat.
good luck.

i had plans of adding an aftermarket exhaust and headers anyway. Should i wait till i get the 350 in to put in the exhaust system (not headers yet) or can i put the exhaust on while the 305 is still in. The 350 w/ definately be below 300 horses but i was planning on getting a holley 600 anyway. Thanx

Cool

well if u put on the exhaust with the 305 in there it would not bolt up to the exhaust after the 350 swap and the headers. It should with just the 350 but not with the headers

Wait till you get the 350 for exhaust and so on. Will be alot easier when you have the blocks out! If you don't need smog checks and all that good stuff where you live, then it should be an easy swap. If you do, then the computer will need to be reprogrammed to support a 350. It will not give the 350 the right signals and so on, those of a 305 would not be good for a 350. Hope that helps!

Not sure exactly why 86 Iroc thinks the exhaust on a 305 wouldnt fit a 350 (please elaborate, I think I'm missunderstanding you) But anything that bolts onto a 305 will bolt onto a 350 (chevy). Since youre carbed a rod and jet change would be all youre needing on the carb end, but removing the electronic quad will make things easier to tune. (unless the law requires you to have it). The only advantage of waiting til the engine swap to do the exhaist would be setting the headers in then lowering the engine down, but of note you would also have all of your leaks, bends, and other annoying bolt-up problems already solved for your 350.
