My oil Gauge bounces from time to time any ideas what can be causing this.

 

check the sender and the connection at the sender

 

Where would that be located at sorry im new to F Bodies.

 

It will either be behind the Intake manifold, or right above your oil filter.It will look similar to an o2 sensor.Mine was having the same problems.Put a new oil sending unit in, and haven't had any problems.Easiest way for me to get it off was cut it close to the base, get a swivel head ratchet, and a 30mm socket and take it off.The sockets they make for them wouldn't go around the new/old one.

I cant remember what any of the parts are called but if you go to like thirdgen.com and *** they mention that problem and it says that you need to oil something that connect to the guage since its a mech.

 

Yea, it is a mechanical oil sending unit.You will need to buy an oil sending unit.any parts store should have one in stock.I would try and get a Delco/Delphi one if it was me.
