Was it stock?
All the 88's I've seen have it, and it's in the programming of the 86-88. 89 programming doesn't have it in there.

It could be the later models of 88 with it deleted, but I've never seen one.
I know in a Firebird Reference book, it says 88 GTA's had VATS (Passkey Anti-theft) but my friends 88 GTA didn't have it, that was a new addition to all 89+ models.

Ok, I just got some new info on the motor....it's a '89 305 TPI it's goin on my '92 RS 305 Depending on whether keepin it MAF is easier to do than converting to SD then that's what I'll do....I may just convert to SD if that's easier that way I can get an ECM out of a '92 Z28

You already are S/D, but wiring the Injection may be tricky, and you'll need a TPI S/D ECM or Prom...
If you're getting the intake w/harness, I'd go MAF...
What all are you getting??

You'll have to have the *8* injector connectors with some wire on them , or an injector harness from companies like "Painless Wiring"..
You'll need a wiring diagram for both motors, library's will get you copies of the pages you need.
The wires should go like this:
The left(drivers side)bank of injectors, the "white" wire on your current injection harness, goes to the "black" wires on all 4 injectors on this bank. The "dark green" wire on your harness goes to the "black/pink stripe" wires of all 4 injectors of this bank.

The right(passenger side)bank of injectors, the "red" wire on you injector harness, goes to the "black" wires of all 4 injectors on this bank. The "dark blue" wire on your harness goes to the "black/light green stripe" wire on all 4 injectors of this bank.

That is supposing you at least got the '89's injector connectors with some wire left on them...
