Bulletproof? Yes. Easy Swap? Yes. Budget Minded? Nope

Older 12-bolts (Trucks, Chevelles, Camaros, Etc.) will not work because F-bodies (82+) use a torque arm style rear suspension. The only 12-bolts with a TA mount is an F-body specific one. You can get them from Moser Engineering, Strange, etc. They run around $2k.

12 bolts bulletproof yes if you dont have a race car or anything that you will run 700rwhp to

i have seen to many 12 bolts snap when you have a really strong car run down the track... granted i am not talking about low hp cars i am talking 600hp+ but if you have a street car (daily driver) then you should be fine

as for where to find them go with strange, currie or moser

i have a moser 9" in dads car and have yet to have problems and we are pulling over 600 to the wheels on the gas

but if you buy the rear in sections ie housing and axles first then save for parts of the center section you can draw out the cost and save some bucks
