Because for all but the last few years of 1LE production, it was a no A/C car. Only near the end of Camaro production did it become avaiable with power options. And people who don't want the car to beat them up certainly aren't going to order something that stops them from getting A/C.

If you bring back 1LE as just a hardcore suspension package, with no restrictions on what comfort options are orderable, you will have people who don't really want a hardcore suspension ordering it, and being unhappy with it. Hence the need for a disclaimer.

 

At least make something available from GMPP that you can buy after purchase and either do it yourself, or have the dealer install, like the Corsa exhaust "accessory" on the C6. You could test drive the car, and if you want more, add the dealer installed stuff as a 2nd sticker, and finance the whole thing w/ one loan. Would that work?
