I seriously dont like Jeremy Clarkson. He's so pessimistic about American Cars. I seriously hope he enjoys and the ZR-1 and it beats any car on the track and is forced to say something good about American Cars. He's a pompous jerk. I mean I feel bad when I say this but you can only take so much, right ?

Yes that is true and all, but he still bashes on the American car companies. That is what really TICKS ME OFF .......Whoa!!!! Calm Down

And you really have to remember this: his jerkiness (is that a word?) is what sells the show...I worked on a pilot for "American" Top Gear. It tanked baaad, I'm glad it never got picked up. It takes a serious skill to be a "jerk" like Clarkson.
And by the way, these guys own American cars. Clarkson has a Ford GT, and Richard owns a classic Mopar and a Mustang (unless he sold the Mopar to buy the Mustang).

Well, he gave it back to ford because the alarm never worked right after being "fixed" numerous times, and a few other problems, and bought a Gallardo.
I really hope they at least get a chance to drive this car, or better yet compare it to the mustang and challenger

Clarkson will never admit when an American car is better, but that's just part of his schtick. He did painfully admit that the Z06 was a track monster. I have to admit though, I got a chuckle when he made fun of the roush/saleen mustangs

He returned it for that? He just needed a reason to buy that Gallardo!
A comparo of those 3 would be ideal...I also hope "EVO" magazine would do a comparo.

Top Gear is a fun show to watch and the dialog is somewhat entertaining. However, the constant tearing apart of american companies, Our lifestyles and how we can never build anything right gets very old.
What I truly don't understand is this. Jeremy Clarkson talks a bunch of ShI& about the USA and our inferior automobiles, then he goes off about how everything European is Substantial . What has the great UK built, not the rest of Europe, that can hold a candle to any US performance car in the last 100 years? NOTHING. Aston Martin=over priced, under powered. TVR= handle like crap, look not to much better and again overpriced. Lotus=very European-I mean Japanese. Jaguar= slow, with the XJ 220 being the exception. There are a few other companies not even worth mentioning.
I like how he uses Ferraris against Corvettes and the like. Stop comparing what Italy, Sweden and Germany have to offer against the great ol' USA and start comparing what your country has that can compare.
