I talked to my soon to be cousin, hes marrying into the family, and he says that there will be no "z28 package" there may be an equal, but we'll see the SSs on the road around july after they come out.

Though not incredibly hard to believe...I'm not sure who knows this information at this point in time. I apologize that I am not familiar with your credentials - I don't think I have run across your name before, but for those that don't know them as I do -- could you please fill us in?
EDIT: maybe I should be asking about your cousin, and not you

from what i understand from what he said, there isnt gunna be a Z/28 package like there have been in every other generation. If i understood him correctly, there is definately and SS, and the production numbers of the cars are gunna slowly increase as the pontiacs are phased out that are going to be built in the same Canadian plant. So...odds are, no Z/28 performance package. And i think they did away with the guages on the center console, but, they have several different versions of the prototypes, the one that didnt have the guages in the console was silver, but the one i saw at the NAIAS in chicago did have the guages there so I'm not 100% sure.

Is this a response to my post or in addition to your initial post? I ask because this does not address my question/post in any way...

idk, your post just questions the reliablity of the source. Im simply trying to expand upon the knowledge that was shared with me and further support what i was told.

Yes..generally if people wish to be trusted they will try to prove that their source is credible... Just because he is your cousin, does not make it credible. What does he do? Who does he work for? or...who has he been talking to?

Who's your cousin, and why would you listen to him?

I've got an uncle that said that instead of a Z-28, they're going to use the money it would cost for that option and produce a Firebird. He really knows what he's talking about too...

My uncle told me that they're going to outsource the whole F-body program to Kia!

I'll be willing to take that bet. Name your amount.
