Looking Back to 1993….

Re: Looking Back to 1993….
Thanks for posting this...Its fun reading the reviews and seeing how cutting edge things may have been at the time. Camaro came within a hair's breadth of being MT's Car of the year in 1993, losing out to--of all things--the ford Probe.

Great article... Making me all nostalgic. I remember reading it.
I think I'll go drive my car.

Re: Looking Back to 1993….
I liked the part about the Camaro's breaking...
"The ABS fortified Z28 grippied the earth like it had hit a patch of epoxy; 60-0mph in 112 feet and arrow straight. Only a handful of production cars on the planet can beat it"
ADVERTISE ADVERTISE ADVERTISE PLEASE SCOTT!!!!

Re: Looking Back to 1993….
I still remember seeing a 4th gen Z28 for the first time, pulling out of a local business. It looked so amazing to me. Agressive, sleek, just one baaaad ride. It really stood out to me. I knew I had to have one. The rest is history...

Re: Looking Back to 1993….
I looked at a black 93 cobra about 5 years after they came out. It was still 15K. I'll get flamed for this but if I was going to have to pick I would have taken the 93 Cobra back then just for it's rareness, the fact the badge really meant it had some serious upgrades(heads, cam, intake) and not just a K&N and an muffler (slp ss) But then 93-97 camaro's look SO plain to me.
Also a gear swap in the cobra and disconnected H-pipe put the cobra nicely in the 13's

Re: Looking Back to 1993….
Looking at pics from when the early 4th gens were brand new make me sad. Why didn't GM use better brackets or something for the front and rear bumpers? Mine both sag now-a-days, and that one in the article has ZERO panel gap
