The LS3 has been confirmed for 2008 Vette, and the other posts seems to suggest the 5th Gen will not be bloated like the Ford.

Combine this with Lutz' statement that he isn't worried about the GT500, then I'd say that the LS3 sitting in a 3500 pound Camaro is a very high likelihood.
Its called brake horse power.

NOT FWHP. the corvette is not front wheel drive.

And yes i know you meant Fly wheel, but technically, thats not correct either.

You're not close enough for us to even have a good discussion on this. You need to go to Camaro school, my man.

Well i dont believe that the LS7 or rumored LS9 will find its way into a Z28 because far as i rember they havent been a big block in a Z28 factory, so if history repeats itself then what small block will the Z28 get.

Funny, seeing how neither the LS7, LS9, or any other engine GM builds right now for its cars are big blocks.

And there is a very good chance the Z28 will see the LS9.

The LS7 will not be in production by then……..so in a small way you’re half right

You do realize the LS7 and LS9 are small blocks, correct?

sorry about that camaro joe i was just pointing out that i thought the LS7 or LS9. i thought the LS7 was a 427 big block that was in the Z06 so if you are saying that they are small blocks then why wouldnt chevy put a big block in the Z06. So you mean to tell me that chevy is whipping the viper with a small block and the viper has a big block V10??

The LS7 is a small-block 427. The main advantage of a small-block over a big-block is weight. The small-block weighs less, which means (assuming identical power outputs) that the small-block car will accelerate quicker, handle better, and have a better weight distribution.

And yes, the Z06 is whipping the Viper with a small-block, albeit a very large small-block.
