My dealer sells plates and renewals on site.

You get them the same time you register in Indiana. Have every vehicle I have bought.

I understand that its dumb for other competing sites to come here and post stuff, but can't we just appreciate the fact that a guy got the FIRST CAMARO!? Its so sweet! After all these years, civilians are taking them home!

So cool...

Maybe the guy traded in his old vehicle and transfeered his paltes over to the new car?

ALL the "early" cars are having their BCM's re-programmed for a software issue with the indexing windows; that's the holdup with those cars. My opinion is you won't see a car under VIN 2000 be delivered until late next week at the earliest. In the meantime, people are getting their cars- FINALLY. GOOD FOR THEM.

Edit-> VIN 1443 was delivered so even the cars that are being "fixed" are being shipped as completed.
So the earliest ordered cars actually had to be held back and reprogrammed or something and are getting delivered later than later order cars? For once my lazyness paid off! Congratz to that guy anyway!

It would be nice if they quoted the first post of the thread they are referencing from Camaro5. Keep the link, that's fine, but it would be nice to be able to read it without opening up another window especially when camaro5 is blocked at work anyway

But some of the already delivered cars have some sort of weird wheel weights on their brakes so better hope yours doesn't come with it

In another thread, there are images of wheel weights stuck on outer face of the brake calipers. Kind of a mystery as to why at this point.

Maybe in certain instances the brakes get a vibration or squeal and the weight fixes it.

OR, maybe the guy on the line building them was messin around, lol.

Yep, here's GM's official answer: Some early Camaro customers noticed that there are weights on the Camaro SS calipers. With high-performance vehicles like the Camaro SS, minor brake noise is not uncommon. The weights act as a damper to reduce noise in certain driving conditions. This was done after careful evaluation and validation by our engineering team. These weights will only be added to early builds of the Camaro SS.

Makes sense, because the guy that i talked to with the Black w/white strips CTF said that his SS was having some minor brake issues, but no big deal, it would be worked out.
