Where are the Cars at?

Well I went car shopping last night and decided I would see if I could drive all 3 cars. I first went to the local Dodge dealer and they had 2 Challenger R/T’s and an SRT, the dealer was very willing to let me drive the cars and was willing to make a deal under MSRP.
I then went to a Ford dealer not expecting to be able to see a 2010 Mustang and they have two a drop top GT and a coup GT, and also a few 2009 Mustangs that they were willing to drop close to 7k off the sticker.
Last I went to a Chevy dealer and they told me they had 12 cars sold, two built and had no Ideal when they would get them, but new they were still in Canada. This story was the same at two other Chevrolet dealers.

So come on GM, Ford has its new Mustang on the lots ready to go. Where are the Camaro’s, spring is here, pony car sales are hot and I am ready to buy.
I have waited, this car should be here on lots already.

I would agree that it is taking a long time to get these cars down to the states. I have seen quite a few new mustangs on the road, but only a small handful of people are getting their camaros now

I think it's important for sales to get more of these cars showing up on the streets.

A red v6 RS showed up at the tiny dealerhsip in Athens, TX. It has created a buzz in our town. Only about 10,000 ppl in the town and the dealer said they had over 100 ppl a day stopping in to look at it and numerousoffers topay cash for it, but it was already sold. Im wanting to test drive one, when will we be able to do that?

What I dont understand is the dealers in my area dont even know when they are going to have one. I have heard as late as August and as early as two weeks. Know one knows anything about this May 6th date that is the buzz around here.

Its hard not to pull the trigger on a new Mustang, I had dealers offering me 7k off the sticker of a new GT premium. That would put a new Mustang 10k less than a Camaro. That is a lot of modification money.

you wont be seeing these on lots to buy for quite some time, at least a six months, and dont forget the adjusted retain value.

since when do dealers know thier head from a hole in the um... ground. I believe that there are real insiders on this forum if I am not mistaken, and if this site talks dates I would far surer believe this then some dealers rhetoric
and I was just wondering if you have 30 some odd thousand dollars lying around to buy and then modify a car then whats the rush

Just saw one here in the southwest suburbs of Chicago coming out of the chevy dealer in Frankfort. It was a yellow SS and looked awesome. The guy had the biggest smile on his face. It was great too cuz I was next to a 88 Ford Mustang (unfortunatly in my Sebring) with a wannabe big block hood and he stared that thing down all the way out....awesome.

Already plenty of owners taking delivery. Dealers making their owners wait for May 6th are just st*pid!

You know what though, remember the days when the next model year car started production in July or August of the year before (i.e. a 2002 camaro was one that started being built August of 2001!) I know it might be a bit different for a first time model of a car (which in theory the Camaro is because it has been gone for 8 years (2002-2010)) but I don't like how at the beginning of one year you are able to buy the next years model which is almost a full year away!!!!
