Did dealer broadcast reveal any new info?
The competition offers in-dash NAV.
Every reason provided to not have in-dash NAV might be spot-on 100% correct when critically analyzed. That being said, "retraining" your customers to see your point of view analytically is usually problematic.
If it weren't, Betamax would have beaten VHS. Betamax might have been a better product, but nobody cared, and VHS won.
Here it is in black and white from Ed:
"Bottom line: I like it and I want it in my next car."

They had all these years to prepare and it seems like they still are behind schedule. Options like HUD should be available at launch why would they show it on their website? Fixed mirrors !!! Its been a few times break away mirrors came through for me. I thought that was a standard option in cars nowadays.
I'd love to hear more about the "Bumblebee" package. My guess, different color yellow V6 with leather package and RS package plus black twin stripes. I don't see how that can come in under $26k though. And more then that and you alienate(pun intended) your target audience.
Honestly, and I don't mean to be offensive here:

Hmmmmm...
Hope they aren't painted (packaged) into a corner there.
We went off the beaten trail a couple times (looking for stores, etc.) and the neat thing with GPS/Nav systems, is they always guide you back to where you are going. If you only had the printed directions from Point A to Point B, you'd be lost if you got off track.Yes, an aftermarket Nav system will do the trick, but having seen what the system will do, I can see the appeal to having it installed right from the factory
...... not that I would actually get Nav in a vehicle of my own
.
- head up & backup assist coming 12/09
- Dual stripe factory installed on White & cyber gray...AND available as a dealer installed accessory
Also anyword about interior trim pieces and what they consist of or colors?
I don't like the tacked on look of a Garmin or any other hand held. If I NEEDED to, I could just use my hand held unit, but I don't like the idea that GM is trying to force my hand on the issue.
I guess I got spoiled by the unit in my Grand Cherokee.
