It's like an ugly deformed child of a Nissan 350Z, Pontiac Solstice, Audi R8, and God knows what else. Blech.

but all jokes aside i like the front end side view and the front looks ok minus the random blue ball in the grill. and the doors look a tad plain

 

I'd buy that blue one without any hesitation! Needs non-2ndgen-like decals though.

 

That's pretty sharp looking. Honestly though, how many cars stand out now days? Everything kinda looks like everything else now days. I'd like to see a new firebird as well, but it's not a good financial move on GM's part.

I got a buddy who worked sales at a Chevy dealer. The stories he would tell me about trying to sell a car. He's trying to convince a customer that his cavalier is better than the sunfire for sale up the street. It's the same platform, and GM has canabolized their lines and has dealers under it's own banner fighting for the same customer selling essentially the same product with a different look. The same customer goes up the street to look at a Ford, they're shown the Focus, that's it.

As much as I hate to see lines trimmed, I think it's in their best effort to cut lines back and focus on making 1 good car, and maybe offer a couple of styling options instead of 2 seperate cars with lots of money spent on engineering both. Same with Chevy/GMC trucks, 1 line and get Ford off their #1 truck since GM's numbers are split between the 2 lines, so Ford outsells them. If the GMC's were sold as Chevy's, Chevy is the #1 selling truck.

 

Hopefully Pontiac doesn't get nuetered down to ho hum cars and remains GM's 'performance' division. And hopefully GM gets back on her feet years from now to give us another firebird, I would love it!

 

i just hope it doesnt look like that blue one. that thing is hideous. odds are, it will have the same pontiac grill as the rest of the cars. but im not feelin those double headlights. i think the flip up headlights would be cool to have again.

 

I actually kind of like that silver car.
