Another vote for Blue bowties!

I'd love to see a blue bowtie on a Z28 and maybe leave the gold one on the V6.

i would like to see a few upgrades to the interior... something that they can do for all 2011 but that would be easy to buy as parts to upgrade our current 2010.

Like Ambient Light kit that goes around like the concept. Or the interior panels that can be easily color matched to the exterior while still keeping the ambient light...

Bring out more special editions... if the Mustang can pull it off.. why can't we? It doesn't have to have huge amounts of HP... but a different cosmetics and a small HP bumb helps.

Track Pack or whatever you wanna call it. You know why....

Bring up the HP on 2011 on the SS models so we can still be ahead of the stangs.... Z28 should smoke anything that it competes with.

I'm a big fan of HUGGER ORANGE on a Camaro (or just about any Chevy) instead of that orange they have now.

The only thing I like about the Challenger is their dash.

Very simply laid out. Black and white gauges. Yes I like it better than the Camaro even thought they dug into their own parts bin and borrowed ***** from a Sebring. I like the simple to read layout.

Even the GTO's dash is awesome.

And just for a comparison, I find the Mustang dash hideous with the old style speedo. ENOUGH RETRO!!

Inferno Orange Metallic looks amazing in the sunlight. I had seen it previously only indoors and liked it enough to be leaning toward that choice. Then after a while my thoughts were more toward black or CGM. Then last Saturday I saw a IOM SS with black stripes on the freeway and was awestruck. My first Camaro was Hugger Orange and I actually like this new IOM more. About the only thing that would change my mind would be if they were to add a dark green metallic to the mix.

Oh, and BTW, why am I waiting? My brother is getting married in Hawaii in September so I needed to spend my money elsewhere. This summer I plan on selling my RS, and will use the money for a sizable down payment on a 2011. Hopefully, it will be a Z/28.

The one thing I hate about the Mustang interior is the sweep of the gauges. I HATE the 180 degree sweep of the needles....

Ok, before I begin,I just want to say that I joined this forum to voice out my opinion and suggestions once i found out that I could actually make a difference passing on my thoughts threw the Camaro disciples(Looking at you Chris Frezza and Jason Debler) when they go to Detroit. Even if I do not own a 5th generation, I do have a love and passion for General Motors and its Chevrolet brand. Besides, I can't just sit by and let the 5th generation Camaro be over taken by its competitors, Camaro should be a leader, always.

I will continue to update and edit this very post as my ideas come to fruition and are valuable enough to mention, until the disciples go to detroit. This will be my only post.

I will first explain why I believe the LSA is not the right engine for the Camaro to compete against its main rival the Mustang GT500.

1st point) The 2011 GT500 possesses a completely forged bottom end in its new 5.4L aluminum block giving the possibility for endless power potential to Mustang owners who wish to modify their car. For example, Shelby basically adds a bigger Ford Racing or a Kenne Bell supercharger to give the SuperSnake its 750HP.

2nd point) The LSA although having a forged crankshaft and connecting rods does not have forged pistons severely limiting the possible potential for extra horsepower customers will seek with aftermarket heads and camshafts and most likely and most importantly, more boost.

3rd point) The LS9 on the other hand is a much better engine candidate for the possible Z28 to compete with the GT500. The LS9 engine has a fully forged bottom end with stronger valve-train parts as well as a bigger supercharger, 2.3L V.S. 1.9L for the LSA. This will give Camaro costumers the same modification potential as the Mustang which is only fair in my opinion.

4th point) All in all, in the real world, a good half way point in my opinion should be the LS9 paired with the LSA supercharger rated at the same 556HP or a little more for example since the LS9 has slightly different cylinder heads and camshaft. GM could also call the engine something else to eliminate its connection to the LS9 in the ZR1.

5th point) Also, since the Z28 is possibly due for release in 2011 as a 2012 model and since Ford is expecting the LSA in the Z28, my educated guess is that Ford will try to overtake the 556HP LSA. Since Camaro should be the leader, this argument further strengthens the need for an LS9 engine derivative in the Z28.

Finally, concerning the comment that some of you might voice about the LS9 powering the $120,000 Corvette ZR1 and that it would put the Camaro in an unobtainable high price bracket. Let me remind you guys that the GT500’s aluminum 5.4L engine with 550HP and 510 LB-FT is basically the same engine that powered the $149,995 FORD GT which came with 550HP and 500 LB-FT. Regardless, the 2011 GT500 has a starting price of $48,645.

Digital speedo in between the speedo and tach kinda makes this a moot point

I just want to say that I can not wait to buy the new z28. I have owned two third gens and my fourth gen is a daily driver. I would love for the car to be lighter( we always want that), and some performance packages would be great. We dont have to have some rare zl1 option, just some extra bolt ons would be nice. If I pay $40-50,000 I don't really want to fork out the extra for headers you know. My first car was an 82 berlineta(sp?) and I have never sold it. I want a new z28 that doesnt have any shift problems and that can handle an increase in boost.... an onboard boost controler would be perfect. Thank you for creating this thread and giving us a chance to voice our opinions.

Count me among this group, too. Digital readout or not, the dial gauge needs to be extremely readable. It isn't!

This seems to be a trend among car makers these days, it seems like everything has the 20mph inc speedo's. I like a quick look at my speedo not a long stare to figure out how fast I'm going.
