I don't believe the dealer has any input on the demo cars. From what I understand, GM is pushing the demo cars in order to get all of the dealers one in the next few weeks....something about an official event at all of the dealerships.

i am a paying customer. those demo cars have to sit there for however long gm wants them to sit for. this is BS. my car should have been made over this demo vehicle. now i have to wait around for the next round before my dealership gets mine pulled. this is absolutely the worste game plan i have ever seen from a company.

i know they dont have any control over it but its BS that a sold order, and ready to be paid, is now on hold just so they can make a car to sit at dealerships. im ready to pay and i cant even get my car yet! if you were hurting for money dont you think you would fill all the 15k+ sold orders you have and then start making the dealership lot cars?

I'm not saying I don't agree with you, I'd be upset if I had pre-ordered too. I'm sure GM marketing might have figured that demo cars at each dealership would attract more orders/purchases (Camaro or other GM vehicles) from the masses that are unaware of the 2010 Camaro (I know, hard to belive) than pushing out the pre-orders and then the demo vehicles. Just a thought I had.

One question; did the pre-orders (before 15 Mar 09) guarantee that the vehicle would be built before any demo/general sale vehicles?

Good luck to all who did pre-order... I'm envious

i dont think there was a guarantee to have it built before the demos. that was told to us after the fact we had placed orders, that the demo cars were to be thrown in the mix.

dont you think that customers driving around camaros would get as much, if not more attention, than a car sitting in a show room? i have plans for my car and plan on taking it to alot of cruise ins and car shows. ill guarantee ill get more attention with mine, than the one sitting at the dealership.
