New Times Need Opinions

Went to the track sunday and ran a best of 13.89 at 100.2mph. This was on street tires spinning to a 2.2 60 foot. I also hit the rev limiter from 2nd to drive because I was a little low on fluid. Just enough to do that. I also had my A/C on because sitting in the staging lanes I use it so both fans run. I forgot to switch it off. My question is what is my car capable of without the A/C or the rev limiter and with improved 60 foots say maybe 1.9 or so? I am happy with that time though considering 130K miles plus without ever taking the valve covers off. Any suggestion traction wise? My burnout consisted of rolling around the water and just spinning the tires quick to clean them off. My launch was just matting it. Pulled some good reaction times though. Best was .012.

At my track, they'll kick you out for running A/C, because condensation drips on the track. You should consider getting a fan switch, it's easy to do, and helps a lot.

Doesn't the A/C shut off under WOT?

One is wired to a switch but the other only runs when the A/C is on.

My best guess is 13.5-13.6 with a sub 2.0 sixty foot time.

I think you could do about a 13.4 13.5 with a good launch, however with headers and full exhaust and 3.42's your mph seems pretty low, so either you need a tune up or your ac affected it ( I too thought it shut off at wot though). Do you have the car pcm tuned at all or is it stock tune?

just for reference here is my slip with a4, 2.73 gears, cai, and cutout nothing more, oh and street tires.

60........2.098
330......5.933
1/8.......9.041
mph......79.67
1000.....11.690
1/4.......13.923
mph......100.68

Thanks for the replys. Now that I look at it the mph does seem kinda low. It has the stock tune yet but im looking at investing in a tuner program. Also thats a pretty nice 60 on street tires Mark

I've managed a 13.322 @103.47mph 1.99 60' with an A4 w/ 3.23's, mac headers, CAI, Nittos, and PCMforless programming.
My friend has a similiar set up to yours and he ran a 13.4, so I bet you could get a 13.4-13.5.
Also, didn't know having the AC on/off would affect when the fans ran. I recommend the fan switch, very easy to do, and there are plenty of install guides online.
Good luck
