Would my stock LT1 Steel Drive Shaft survive?

Hey guys,

I'm just finishing school (cash funds are low) and would like to finally get the track. I'm just ordering my slicks and want to see how long my stock driveshaft will last, if at all.

My set-up:
355rwhp & 340rwtq Lt1
m6 w/street twin
9-inch and 4.30's
26 inch slicks
hopefully 1.6 60 fts atleast

oh yeah, the DS has a 1350 joint on it as well

Will it last? How many runs do you figure? If there is a better way to launch it (rather than off the rev limiter) how would you guys suggest? its a long tow home

thanks

Andy

your yoke is going to recieve some twisted spline's.. and if you don't catch it you might eat a output shaft when it get's wedged on it..
