Fuel pump bucketBA383TA 03-11-2009, 07:13 AM What have you guys been using to secure the top of the fuel pump bucket when you install a new pump? Bill 94SLUG 03-11-2009, 12:58 PM Race Tronics sells a special glue (probably NAPA too), the first time I used some clamps... Kevin Blown 95 TA 03-11-2009, 01:03 PM That glue didn't hold on mine. When I took it out again to do dual pumps, it was all apart. I researched it and there is some aviation glue that works in fuel - not sure if that was in the little packets Racetronix provided or if it was some more common epoxy - whatever it was, it didnt work. dr97z 03-12-2009, 01:59 AM Not saying you didn't do it, but the stuff they send is suppose to set up over night, which is commonly missed especially if installed by a shop which isn't willing to wait over night. Just my experience. MikeGyver 03-12-2009, 02:33 AM I scraped all the residue off with a razor blade and brushed on a schload of superglue. Superglue isn't a filler type glue, so if you can get both pieces to a nice, clean, gapless fit, it'll work well. I've had the pump out 3 times and it's holding up fine so far. za355tx 03-12-2009, 05:34 AM Thanks for the replies. Now I have some options.
