Which plugs and wires?gil'97cloneSS 11-27-2006, 01:19 PM Just wanted your guys opinion on which plugs and wires would be best for my LT1. Thanks. StephenDeli22 11-27-2006, 03:19 PM AC Delco's MysticTeal95Z28 11-27-2006, 05:58 PM AC Delco's I hope he has a lot of money. I went with NGK TR55 plugs and Taylor Spiro Pro Spark Plug Wires, no regrets. AC Delco wires would have costed me $ 107 at O'Reilys... gil'97cloneSS 11-28-2006, 04:16 AM Thanks for the input. Also what did you gap your plugs at. 2000GTP 11-28-2006, 08:11 AM Thanks for the input. Also what did you gap your plugs at. Gap them at whatever your underhood specs sticker says. I believe it is .050 As for suggestions of what to go with, I also am a big fan of the NGK plugs and have also had good luck with the Taylor wires. byrons1502 11-28-2006, 12:25 PM love the ngk or delco plugs. can't beat the taylor wires for the money and quality, they are the only wires i have used that actually fit without being ten miles to long. i own a repair shop and have tried everything. just drove 230 miles to pick up customers car that died and found the msd coil wire went bad. third time i have seen this on other cars MysticTeal95Z28 11-30-2006, 02:04 PM Gap them at whatever your underhood specs sticker says. I think it was you that reccommended that Taylors to me and for the price they are AWESOME. Good fit as far as their length goes too. :) Edit here is a thread from when I was asking for advice: http://web.camaross.com/forums/showthread.php?t=483001 Don't be an idiot like me and buy the Taylor Thundervolts, especially if you have a stock ignition, they're overkill! The Spiro Pros are the ones to go with. 2000GTP 11-30-2006, 03:11 PM I think it was you that reccommended that Taylors to me and for the price they are AWESOME. The Spiro Pros are the ones to go with. Yeah, the Spiro Pros are very good wires. Its what I was using. 69gto96z 12-01-2006, 05:04 PM I have the NGK TR55's and Taylor 8mm spiro pro wires, I love em. matLT1 12-01-2006, 06:00 PM I liked the results of my MSD wires. Kind of a PIA to install but well worth it. The price isn't too bad either. mzgp5x 12-14-2006, 03:34 PM I use MSD, and the Zex plug. I had NGK tr6 and fowled them alot. (383-FI). The Zex plug has solved my problem. Been working on my fuel map also. byrons1502 12-17-2006, 07:48 PM do you happen to have part #'s and heat range comparisons. need to go 1-2 steps colder mzgp5x 12-18-2006, 09:22 AM Don't know the heat range, but, if you go to zex.com, they have information on the plug. They have a selection for FI and NA. My NGK's were fouling alot in a cold start-up conditon. I ended up changing the injector vs. voltage cal @ low volts, and, the open afr cal @ cold temps (higher afr than stock @ MAP/ Low temp. - 13 to 14). The larger the injectors are, I have found this is necessary with my set-up (running 72# now). Hope this helps. | ||
