New wheel/tire questions

Hey I'm ordering some new wheels and tires from Summit and I know they mount and balance them if requested for some extra cash. But does anyone know if they put any air in the tire as well? If they don't about how much pressure should I have when I fill them up? It's a daily driver and I'd be looking for a fair combination between take-off grip and high speed traction. I drive it on the highway fairly frequently. Their BFG street tires, not drag radials or anything like that. Sizes are 275/40-17 in front, 285/40-17 in rear, if that helps.

If you buy an assembled wheel/tire, fully balanced, they will have air in them.

In any case, you always need to check the air pressure when you put them on your car. I would recommend that you follow the tire pressure label on the door of your car as a starting point. You will find that anything from 32-36psi will provide the performance you are looking for. The exact pressure will vary with the tire selection, and will be found as a result of trying pressures over that range, looking at different combinations front and rear, until you find the numbers that give you the results you want, while providing uniform wear across the tread of the tires.
