Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3
Can I hear some of everyone's experiences with this tire please? What kind of traction do they provide for dead stop launches. Do they have acceptable wet traction? What kind of treadlife did they get for you daily drivers? I could be getting some 285/40-17, 315/35-17s one day

Thanks for answering my post man, but I already read the stickie on this tire. Did you? One thread is two people arguing the WHOLE time and the other is about tire balancing. Not nearly the info I'm looking for. So please, if anyone can share their experiences with this tire with me I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Re: Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3
I thought of getting them for my car but wound up getting Kumho Ecsta MX's...The dry traction is sick and wet traction is very good...I really haven't tortured them yet but they seem to handle very nicely at the limit and are very predictable when the do break traction in both dry and wet weather. I can't really comment on hard launches because my clutch is dead but judging from my experience with them they seem to be very grippy. They actually ride really nicely too... When I had them balanced 2 of the tires took 1.5 ounces, 1 took 1 ounce, and one took I think 2 ounces so they are very good as far as QC is concerned. The thing is they are $129 a tire for 17/40-17's...GS-D3's are $205 and I highly doubt that they are that much better that they would be worth the difference in price

I have them, I actually don't think their all that. Dry traction is very good when the tire is warmed up but otherwise it didn't seem to be a huge improve over my previous (much less highly regarded) kumho 712's. Wet traction is awesome though. Its a good all already tire, I just don't know if its quite up to all the hype.

Thats with ANY soft compound tire. Even DR's aren't all that when cool and they have road grit all over them. The difference is that you do have better traction when they are heated unlike the 712's which suck warm, cold, clean, and dirty.
