I'm not sure how long the unit would last at more than 12 lbs. You might not be able to finish tuning it. Why don't you find out?

If you can drive the P600B to around max rpm it can support upwards of 750 fwhp. The problem is getting it there. The 3.05 stepup gear means you need a small pulley to get there or a preferrably large crank pulley. The small blower pulley required can induce belt slip which creates a snowball effect of chasing belt slip and boost. Install an even smaller pulley in an attempt to regain the boost lost by slip and it slips even worse.
The best application for max power with a P600B would be a higher rpm small block that revs over 6000 rpm. Trying for high airflow levels at lower rpm requires the small driven pulley that causes the problems.

Durability with the unit at high airflow and boost is not a problem at all. The unit is capable, just challenging. The above mentioned slip issues are the reason for ATI developing the 4.10 ratio for the P1SCX and D1SC blowers. The F1x / F2 step it up even further with a 5.40.

Thanks for the knowledgeable input. I was under the impression soley from the lack of warranty at 12lbs that the p600b would not hold up.

You're most welcome. There has to be a warranty cutoff somewhere and 8 psi seems right. Keep in mind that 8 psi could be on a 4 cyl focus, 4.6 mustang or 454 truck. Very different airflow levels and blower rpm from ATI's line. They know what you're doing with the blower, that's what its made for.
